LOCATIONS

Welcome to the vibrant world of **Lucinda's Deli & More**, a hidden gem nestled at **535 Scott St** in the heart of San Francisco, CA. This deli transcends typical sandwich shops, offering an array of innovative and mouth-watering sandwich creations that reflect both bold flavors and fresh ingredients.

Lucinda's specializes in **deli sandwiches**, each crafted with a unique blend of toppings that will tantalize your taste buds. Here are a few standout offerings:

  • Hot Ham Sandwich: Featuring aged cheddar pimento, garlic confit mayo, grated horseradish, and an assortment of vibrant vegetables, this $17 delight boasts a flavor profile that is anything but ordinary.
  • Spicy Tuna Melt: Priced at $18, this toasted sub is a spicy explosion of flavors, complete with pickled jalapeños, sriracha mayo, and a kick of freshness from arugula and tomato.
  • Avo Smash Vegan: For those seeking a plant-based option, this $16 sandwich layers cashew romesco with creamy avocado, tangy pickles, and roasted veggies—a true celebration of flavors.
  • Pastrami Sandwich: At $19, this hot offering features a luxurious mix of Calabrian chili mayo and cauliflower giardiniera, creating a deeply satisfying experience.
  • Mortadella Sandwich: This flavorful creation boasts a sweet-and-savory bagna cauda mayo that pulls together the ensemble of rich ingredients for just $17.

While the sandwiches are undeniably delicious, reviews suggest that the experience at Lucinda's can be a mixed bag. Some patrons have noted issues with customer service, where casual greetings might feel a tad too informal for a deli setting. Yet, many agree that the flavors of the sandwiches make it worth the visit.

As food lovers have pointed out, the small yet thoughtfully curated menu simplifies decision-making. The eye-catching **Baja Turkey** and robust **Roast Beef** sandwiches have garnered rave reviews for their striking flavor profiles. Even the pickiest eaters, as one patron expressed, have been left “obsessed” with their hearty portions and fresh components.

For those visiting, it’s advisable to plan ahead. Expect lines, especially during peak hours; hence, consider ordering online to avoid the wait. And while seating may be limited—Lucinda's does not offer indoor dining—there’s nothing better than enjoying a sandwich on a sunny afternoon at nearby **Alamo Square Park**.

In summary, **Lucinda's Deli & More** is not just another deli; it’s a destination for flavor exploration. With each sandwich crafted to showcase quality and creativity, every visit promises an opportunity to savor something truly special. Don’t miss out on this delectable experience!

I visited Lucinda's on a Sunday morning around 11:30 AM. It was busy, but it didn't take too long to submit my order. The sandwich was delicious, but it was a little smaller than I expected for over $18 after tax. Customer service is trash. The person taking the orders addresses customers by saying "Yo!" And "What up?" When some of the orders were ready, they didn't even say the order numbers. The bags were just placed on the counter for anyone to grab. Overall, it was a decent experience. San Francisco has many delis, so this isn't somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit. I will say the flavor of the spicy tuna melt was delicious, and I loved the pickled onions and jalapeños.

Came in a nice Saturday morning, so I was surprised that I could find parking close by. This place is close to Alamo square park, so parking can be tough sometimes they have a pretty small menu but it makes it easier to order. I ordered the prosciutto, which was pricey but delicious! I wish it was a bit bigger or cheaper.

Great sandwiches with fresh ingredients and packed full. Friendly staff, no seating but cute area and the park is next door. Good variety of sandwiches and a cute coffee shop inside too.

Once they're gone they're gone! Go early, or call in your order. This place is popular and rightly so. The sandwiches are unique and so flavorful and amazing. The Baja turkey was a little zingy with spice, but a delicious and unsurprising blend! There is also a coffee shop nestled in the same building, watch your head when entering, ceilings are low! If you don't have a big appetite half should be plenty but go for the whole if you need a more satisfying meal. Go with a friend and get two different sandwiches for more variety. I'm looking forward to trying more of their offerings!

Picked up a sandwich with a friend to take to Alamo square and eat for lunch! It was so good. The Baja turkey was fresh, light, and just a little spicy to add some needed heat. Space is small and the low ceiling makes me feel like I'm a giant overall really really good and I'd come back to try the beef or pastrami! When there's a line it can take up to 20-30 minutes for your sandwich to be finished. It's worth the wait.

Lucinda's is in the lunchtime sandwich rotation. An amazing tiny hole in the wall establishment right next to Alamo Square Park. The mortadela and BLTA are our favorites here. They are usually ready within 20/25 minutes which is perfect to take a quick stroll over there. The ingredients are fresh and mouth watering as I type this! My star rating: 5 - must go!!! 4 - liked it, give it a try! 3 - it was alright 2 - I probably won't go back 1 - turnaround and run

I usually HATE sandwiches but Lucinda's blew my mind. I was so apprehensive after my partner suggested we head over to this random normal neighborhood street in the middle of Hayes Valley. And then I saw that it was UNDERGROUND?!? But there were so many people waiting around and eating their sandwiches sitting on the street & stairs. I really enjoy how there is also a coffee shop in the shared underground space. I was overwhelmed by all the options and settled on Soppressata because it sounded really refreshing but still hefty. Now I'm obsessed with the Roast Beef sandwich with its dank blue cheese sauce and crunchy fried onions. It's actually so criminal how sweet & yummy these sandwiches are. And they're PACKED with meat and not too bready. One sandwich is also INCREDIBLY filling for me. Prices are a little pricier than I would want to spend on a normal sammie - but this is NOT your normal sandwich. This is my GO-TO picnic meal and definitely worth supporting!

Expensive- but worth it. Is it the best sandwich I ever had? YES Had the roast beef sandwich ($18) with crunchy arugula, Thai BBQ sauce, fried onions, pickled red onions - and bleu cheese mayo, a mind-blowing combination of flavors. My son had the pastrami sandwich and loved it more than he loves most food- and he eats.. well you all know he eats .. a lot. Will I return? YES

We've been to Lucinda's a couple of times now and this is a really solid spot to go for real deal deli sandwiches. We've gotten 3 sandwiches from here, and if I had to power rank the 3, I'd go with their Pastrami, Roast Beef, and Tuna. All the sandwiches are around $14-20 and it's a good price considering the size and quality of the sandwiches. They don't skimp on the meat and toppings, which is always a plus. Also, their bread is really good too, which is important for any sandwich. In terms of ordering, it's best to order online for pickup to avoid the wait. We ordered online while at a bar nearby and were able to walk right in at the time it said it was gonna be ready. I appreciate a place that creates sandwiches that don't allow for substitutions bc it makes ordering easier, especially for bigger orders. They really do put a lot of thought into each of their creations and each sandwich delivers a unique blend of flavors, with each tasting vastly different from one another.

Delicious. Took a little bit to order as the workers were busy preparing online/previous orders. The weather was nice so we didnt mind waiting the ~10 minutes for our sandwiches outside Fresh ingredients and great to take on the go to the park.
